About the Role
StrategyStack Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant to support a global fashion and retail organization.
The consultant will serve as a key SAP FICO SME, providing production support, supporting financial close activities, managing enhancements, and acting as a liaison between Finance stakeholders, the Application Managed Services (AMS) partner, and other Finance technology teams.
The role requires deep SAP FICO expertise along with working experience and knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) to understand cross-system dependencies and effectively coordinate with the respective teams.
The underlying engagement is designed to provide dedicated SAP FICO coverage while maintaining continuity between Finance and the client's AMS organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day functional and production support for SAP FICO, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Controlling.
Triage, analyze and resolve SAP FICO incidents and production issues within agreed service levels.
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities and address Finance-related issues impacting the close process.
Gather business requirements from Finance stakeholders and translate them into clear functional requirements and specifications.
Coordinate SAP FICO enhancements from requirements through design, testing, deployment and business validation.
Support financial reporting, reconciliations and audit-related requests associated with SAP FICO.
Support SAP FICO master data, configuration changes and related functional documentation.
Serve as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and the AMS partner, ensuring incidents and enhancements are appropriately prioritized and progressed.
Monitor open incidents and enhancements and coordinate with the AMS partner to ensure adherence to committed SLAs and quality expectations.
Collaborate with SAC and BPC teams on Finance-related reporting, planning, consolidation and data dependencies involving SAP FICO.
Understand cross-system dependencies between SAP FICO, SAC, BPC and related Finance applications and help coordinate issue resolution across the appropriate teams.
Build and maintain SOPs, process documentation and functional knowledge repositories.
Work independently as a trusted SAP FICO SME and provide clear communication to business and technology stakeholders.
These responsibilities align with the proposed PVH scope covering break-fix support, enhancements, period close, business liaison, AMS partner management, reporting/reconciliation, configuration and documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
8–12+ years of SAP experience with strong SAP FICO functional expertise.
Strong knowledge and experience across:

Asset Accounting (AA)
Controlling (CO)
Cost Center Accounting
Profit Center Accounting
Internal Orders
Strong experience with SAP FICO configuration, production support and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting complex month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close processes.
Experience gathering Finance business requirements and developing functional specifications.
Experience managing incidents, enhancements, testing and business validation.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation and accounting processes.
Experience working directly with Finance business stakeholders.
Experience working with and coordinating AMS partners and technical teams.
Experience and working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including understanding of its use within Finance reporting, analytics and planning processes.
Experience and working knowledge of SAP BPC, including understanding of its use within budgeting, forecasting, planning and consolidation processes.
Good understanding of SAP FICO integration and data dependencies with Ariba, Concur, SAC and BPC, with the ability to effectively liaise with the respective functional and technical teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to operate independently and take ownership of issues through resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and/or SAP ECC FICO.
Experience supporting large, global SAP environments.
Experience in retail, fashion, apparel or consumer products environments.
Experience working with large system integrators or global AMS providers.
Experience within SOX-controlled environments and supporting financial audits.
Exposure to SAP Finance integrations and broader enterprise Finance application landscapes.
Experience supporting globally distributed Finance and technology teams.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strong SAP FICO functional SME who can also operate effectively as a business and technology liaison.
The candidate should be able to understand a Finance issue, analyze its impact within SAP FICO, determine the appropriate path to resolution, and coordinate with the AMS partner or other Finance technology teams where required.
The person should also have sufficient SAC and BPC experience to understand how these applications interact with the broader Finance landscape and work effectively with the respective teams when requirements or issues cross system boundaries.
This role requires someone who can take ownership rather than simply process tickets and who is comfortable working directly with Finance stakeholders in a global organization.
Working Hours
The position is based in India (Bangalore/Hyderabad) and will support US-based stakeholders. The candidate should be comfortable providing appropriate overlap with US Eastern Time, particularly for business meetings, critical production issues and financial close periods.
