Financial & Reporting Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced qualified chartered accountant to join our Group Corporate team in Finance in the role of Group Financial & Reporting Accountant.
A role at the heart of our fast-paced finance department with a blended remit of both local India compliance matters in addition to Group (Global) exposure with focus on Board reporting requirements, month-end group accounting items, financial controls along with statutory and group level compliance requirements.
Standard set of monthly tasks but also frequent opportunity to get involved in projects. Version 1 is a rapidly growing technology company, with strong organic growth and growth via acquisitions. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Group
Take responsibility for preparing sections of the monthly Board reporting pack including financial results, key KPIs, Customer Success and People Success.
Liaise with stakeholders outside of finance regarding reporting information including HR, Commercial, Head of Real Estate.
Month end accounting for areas including leases, intercompany and including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for these areas.
Support sales and commercial teams with financial input for bidding/tender processes.
Support on statutory and group audits under IFRS and IAS.
Support on financial statements including disclosures
Support the rest of the Corporate team within finance on ad hoc projects.
India-specific
Support statutory and tax audits, regulatory compliance, secretarial compliance and advisory services ensuring compliant business operations in India.
ABOUT THE PERSON
Chartered accountant with 5+ years post qualification experience.
Practice background with experience of audit and financial statements desirable.
Experience working in a global multi-entity organization.
Strong expertise in India-specific regulatory compliance.
Working knowledge of Oracle Netsuite would be an advantage.
Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment.
Ideal candidate would have a logical way of thinking, process orientated and displays attention to detail when undertaking data analysis.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise when required and meet deadlines in a high growth environment.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Strong Excel skills.
