Staff Software Engineer - ITAM and AI Cost
We're looking for a Staff Full Stack Developer to help build and scale our AI-powered tools for application development. You'll work at the intersection of UI, backend, and AI-driven engineering — architecting solutions that improve developer experience, expand platform capabilities, and drive engineering excellence across the team.
The Software Asset Management product(ITAM) empowers organizations to manage software licensing and compliance with precision. Our engineers build performance-efficient algorithms that help customers achieve the most accurate licensing position possible. You’ll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing and delivery—while partnering closely with product managers, architects, and quality engineers. Together, we improve product quality, efficiency, and performance. The SAM team is deeply aligned with company priorities and market expectations, delivering solutions that matter.
You will be building the next generation of AI Cost Management capabilities that help enterprises understand, govern, optimise, and control AI spending across large-scale AI ecosystems. The product provides visibility into AI consumption, cost attribution, budgeting, forecasting, spend controls, alerts, and vendor integrations across AI services such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and future AI providers.
What You Get to Do in This Role
Design and implement AI-Native product development, using cutting-edge technical approaches to deliver business value
Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit Testing, etc.)
Own your code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery
Collaborate with product managers to define feature sets that solve real customer problems
Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to enhance quality and performance
Contribute to new product features and enhance existing offerings
Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team
To be successful in this role you have:
Experience in leveraging critical thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of delivering high-quality products.
Hands-on experience with columnar/analytical data stores (e.g., ClickHouse, Apache Druid, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Vertica), including schema design, partitioning, and query optimization for large-scale analytical workloads.
Experience building and operating distributed data pipelines for high-volume ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, or dbt).
Experience creating dashboards and analytic reports with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance optimization
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Playwright, TestNG) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
Understanding software quality principles including reliability, observability, and production readiness.
Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance across the stack.
Experience with AI-powered tools or workflows, including validation of datasets, model predictions, and inference consistency.
Comfort with development tools such as IDEs, debuggers, profilers, source control, and Unix-based systems
