Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
Act as an engineering subject matter expert in the Software Engineering area, influencing stakeholders and applying advanced knowledge to drive achievement of area goals and initiatives by contributing to solution development and improvements for existing products, services, and/or processes.
Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions, ensuring security and operational resilience.
Perform thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to uphold quality standards.
Design, develop, and deliver complex software solutions aligned with business needs and organizational standards.
Create detailed technical artifacts, including requirements documents, design specifications, test plans, and deployment strategies.
Perform system maintenance, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution in complex production environments.
Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks, conducting Proof of Concept (PoCs) evaluations.
Maintain solution and technology roadmaps, contributing to strategic planning and innovation while promoting best practices in SDLC, testing, and security.
Guide and mentor junior team members through on-the-job experiences, reviewing work and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Deep understanding and significant experience with Java 17, Angular 21, and Spring Boot 3.
Experience with ETL processes, document databases, data models, object/entity relationships, and relational databases.
Expertise in building and managing REST APIs.
Experience with Cloud Native Development targeting a major Cloud Provider.
Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
Experience crafting single page applications (SPA’s) as well as distributed systems using Java 17, Spring Boot 3.2 or later.
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing frameworks, and quality-focused engineering practices.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Delivery principles with an eye for automation and IaC.
Experience building distributed data platforms with high availability concerns and are easily horizontally scaled.
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools, APIs, and frameworks to build intelligent application features and improve software development efficiency.
