2. About the Opportunity:
The Biostatistician II role supports the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical, observational, translational, and research studies. The position is responsible for managing statistical deliverables, developing analysis plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific rigor and accurate interpretation of data. This role contributes by providing essential statistical expertise that informs clinical and research decision-making, enhancing the quality and impact of study outcomes.
3. Responsibilities:
Perform independent statistical analyses for clinical studies and research initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define study objectives and appropriate methodologies.
Develop statistical analysis plans including sample size and power calculations.
Analyze clinical, observational, laboratory, and real-world datasets.
Support design and analysis of prospective and retrospective studies.
Conduct exploratory analyses of large commercial and research data archives.
Develop and validate statistical models for diagnostic performance and clinical outcomes.
Analyze diagnostic performance metrics such as sensitivity and specificity.
Handle complex data structures including longitudinal and survival data.
Collaborate across teams to ensure statistical rigor and proper interpretation.
Review datasets and analysis outputs for validity and accuracy.
Manage assigned statistical analyses and deliverables independently.
Interpret findings and communicate results to diverse audiences.
Contribute statistical content to scientific reports and regulatory submissions.
Respond to statistical queries during review processes.
Develop reproducible statistical programs and maintain documentation.
Improve statistical processes and analytical approaches continuously.
4. Requirements:
Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Applied Statistics, or related field; PhD preferred.
3 to 5 years of relevant biostatistics experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, academia, or related life sciences.
Experience designing and analyzing clinical, observational, or translational studies.
Skilled in developing statistical analysis plans.
Strong knowledge of regression, categorical data, longitudinal, survival analyses, and techniques addressing missing data and confounding.
Familiarity with diagnostic test performance measures preferred.
Experience with highly multiplexed clinical assay analysis.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
