Sr. Manager - Java Development

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer (Java) to join our technology team. This position requires a professional with strong expertise in Java development, microservices architecture, performance optimization, and modern AI-assisted development practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications while leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications using core Java technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to architectural decisions and technology strategy discussions
Use AI tools to accelerate solution design and technical documentation
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning
Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (ADO–MS AZURE)
Integrate AI-assisted tools into development workflows while maintaining security and compliance
Document technical designs, processes, and system architecture
Architect and implement microservices-based solutions following industry best practices
Develop and optimize workflow automation using Camunda BPM platform
Design and implement efficient database solutions using SQL and performance tuning techniques
Conduct performance analysis, tuning, and optimization of applications and systems
Leverage AI tools like Claude for code generation, optimization, and problem-solving
Utilize AI-assisted development for code reviews, documentation, and technical analysis
Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to coding standards

Key Experiences
Core Java: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+, including collections, concurrency, and JVM tuning
Microservices Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
Camunda BPM: Strong experience in workflow automation, BPMN modeling, and process orchestration
SQL & Database: Advanced SQL skills, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
Performance Tuning: Expertise in application performance monitoring, profiling, and optimization techniques
AI-Assisted Development: Experience using AI tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar for code generation, debugging, and optimization
RESTful APIs: Design and development of REST APIs and web services
Spring Framework: Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data
Message Queuing: Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
Testing: Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), integration testing, and test automation
DevOps Tools: Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
Version Control: Git, branching strategies, and code review processes
AI Integration: Understanding of how to effectively integrate AI tools into development workflows
Certifications / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
Relevant certifications in Java, Spring, or cloud technologies (preferred)
Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and their application in software engineering (preferred)
