Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead with strong expertise in Data Build Tool (dbt) to design, manage, and execute complex data migration initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate, scalable, and reliable data migration while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end data migration activities using dbt and modern data engineering practices.
Design and implement scalable data transformation and migration solutions.
Develop and maintain dbt models, workflows, tests, and documentation.
Coordinate with business, technical, and cross-functional teams to manage migration activities.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data migration.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
Troubleshoot data issues and implement effective solutions.
Ensure migration processes follow established standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Support project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex migration workflows.
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
Required Skills
8+ years of experience in data engineering/data migration.
Strong hands-on experience with Data Build Tool (dbt).
Strong understanding of data migration methodologies and best practices.
Experience managing complex data migration projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to design reliable and scalable data solutions.
Good understanding of data transformation, ETL/ELT, and modern data platforms.
Preferred
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or Azure.
Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
