About The Role
The Senior Network Engineer plays a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure. This hybrid position requires an on-site presence three to four days per week, with the possibility of increased days based on business demands. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with networking hardware and protocols, and will work closely with architecture and security teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our network services. The role involves managing complex network environments across global data centers and remote sites, troubleshooting advanced issues, and supporting network performance optimization initiatives. The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a technical escalation point, contribute to strategic planning, and participate in the evaluation of new technologies to enhance our network capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
5-7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support
Professional industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE (mandatory)
Additional certifications in networking, cybersecurity, wireless, or telecom are preferred
Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure across global data centers and remote sites, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Monitor and optimize network performance using industry-standard tools to ensure high availability and reliability
Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and operational procedures
Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, firewalls, wireless systems, and international connectivity
Execute network changes and updates following established change management protocols
Support administration of Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and F5 network solutions
Perform firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with change management policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, security, and cloud operations to support integrated infrastructure projects
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure network uptime and support
Create and maintain network documentation, including configuration standards and diagrams, to facilitate scalability and incident management
Contribute to network design evaluations and participate in the adoption of new technologies
Ensure compliance with security standards and assist with audits and remediation efforts
Serve as a technical escalation point for network incidents and problems
Participate in on-call rotations and handle global incident escalations to maintain 24x7 network uptime
