Role Description This part-time remote DevOps Engineer role at LD Pro Consulting focuses on building, maintaining, and improving cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The DevOps Engineer will design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, manage CI workflows, and support development teams with automated build, test, and release processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, optimizing environments for reliability and scalability, and collaborating with software developers to integrate DevOps best practices. The role also involves maintaining secure, compliant configurations, documenting processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of tools and workflows.
Qualifications
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with experience using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar solutions.
Solid Software Development background, with proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Proficient System Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and services.
Advanced Linux skills, including shell scripting, package management, networking basics, and security best practices.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related security and cost-optimization practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are a plus.
