Role Description
The BIM Engineer–Electrical will be responsible for developing and coordinating electrical BIM models for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with overall MEP and architectural/structural designs. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed electrical construction drawings, updating models based on design changes, resolving clashes through coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining project documentation standards. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to support accurate design, installation planning, and compliance with relevant codes and client specifications. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata, requiring regular interaction with internal teams and, when necessary, external stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model creation, coordination, and clash detection.
Candidates should possess expertise in electrical Construction Drawings, layout detailing, and documentation aligned with project standards.
Candidates should possess skills in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, particularly focused on electrical systems within multidisciplinary models.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Architecture and Civil Engineering concepts to ensure integrated and constructible design solutions.
Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Proficiency in BIM and CAD tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and familiarity with industry BIM standards.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and codes, with strong attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, and readiness to work on-site in Kolkata.
Prior experience in AEC industry BIM roles and exposure to international projects will be considered an advantage.
