Role Description
The Electrical Project Manager role at Modela is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical projects from concept through completion, ensuring that design, engineering, and installation activities meet safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. Day-to-day tasks include managing electrical contracting activities, reviewing and approving electrical designs and drawings, tracking project budgets and expenditures, and coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues. The Electrical Project Manager will monitor progress on site, conduct inspections, manage documentation, and support compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The role also involves leading project meetings, managing risks, supporting resource allocation, and contributing to continuous improvement of electrical project delivery processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of electricity, electrical design, and electrical engineering principles applicable to building and infrastructure projects.
Candidates should possess experience in electrical contracting, including coordination with contractors, vendors, and site teams for installation and commissioning.
Candidates should possess budgeting and cost management skills, including estimating, tracking project finances, and optimizing resource utilization.
Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess proficiency with electrical design and CAD/BIM tools commonly used in the AEC industry.
Candidates should possess strong project management abilities, including scheduling, risk management, stakeholder communication, and report preparation.
Candidates should possess effective leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills to manage multidisciplinary project environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; prior experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a similar role within the AEC sector is highly beneficial.
