Role Description The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. The individual will be responsible for designing and laying out PCBs, translating electrical schematics into manufacturable board designs, and collaborating with electronics and firmware engineers to meet functional and reliability requirements. Daily tasks include component selection, footprint creation, stack-up definition, routing high-speed and analog signals, and ensuring designs meet EMI/EMC and manufacturing constraints. The role involves reviewing design files, preparing documentation and fabrication packages, and coordinating with manufacturing partners to resolve design-for-manufacturing issues. The PCB Designer is also expected to participate in design reviews, support prototyping and testing, and continuously improve design practices and libraries.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Circuit Design and Electronics, with experience translating schematics into robust PCB layouts.
Practical knowledge of Analog design principles, including signal integrity, noise mitigation, and power supply layout.
Background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with the ability to interpret technical requirements and industry standards.
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) design concepts and RF layout techniques for relevant products.
Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar) and familiarity with CAD libraries and version control.
Understanding of DFM/DFT, PCB manufacturing processes, and common fabrication and assembly constraints.
Ability to read and create technical documentation, including BOMs, fabrication drawings, and assembly files.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience in industrial or product development environments and exposure to certifications or compliance testing is an advantage.
