Senior Electronics Design Engineer, HVHP

The Sr. Electronics Design Engineer in the XP HVHP (High Voltage, High Power) division is a senior individual-contributor technical role responsible for executing High Bridge’s assigned projects within the XP HV Technology roadmap, providing senior-level technical support across new product development, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers. This role combines hands-on design and lab work with project ownership, cross-site technical representation, and development of the broader engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own execution of High Bridge’s assigned projects within the XP HV Technology roadmap — from concept throughdesign-ready maturity — including defining goals, project plans, timelines, resources, and costs
Document and present HV technology project findings to technical stakeholders across XP on a regular cadence
Serve as a senior technical resource across all active NPD projects, including schematic creation and review, PCBreview, design reviews, breadboarding, hands-on testing, and reporting
Carry meaningful technical sign-off weight in design reviews, identifying design issues early
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, including review of their work product and transfer of HV-specific design knowledge
Represent HVHP in cross-site design reviews and technical discussions, independently
Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for sustaining legacy designs as needed, stepping into alead role when issues become critical
Other duties may be assigned as required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), with 10–15 years of power electronicsdesign and development experience, including 10+ years of high voltage DC design experience
Demonstrated experience leading technology development projects from concept through design-ready maturity
Strong analog and digital circuit analysis skills, with deep expertise in high voltage DC power supply design
Proven ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
Ability to work hands-on with a variety of lab equipment and tools
Programming experience (C, LabView, Matlab) is desirable
Familiarity with communication protocols (RS232, USB, Ethernet) is desirable
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, including the ability to present technical findings to stakeholdersacross the organization
Ability to represent HVHP independently in cross-site technical discussions
Ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed
Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion
Limited travel may be required
