Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data SME to support Billing & Payment analytics and drive business-side data requirements for a strategic AI initiative. The role will act as the primary subject matter expert for billing data, collaborating closely with Data Engineering and AI teams to build AI-driven solutions that analyze customer communications, compare promised offers with billing outcomes, identify discrepancies, determine root causes etc.
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science.
Proven experience working with large-scale billing and payment data environments.
Advanced expertise in SQL and Python.
Strong experience in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Models).
Expertise in Data Warehousing technologies, specifically:
Teradata
Google BigQuery
Hands-on experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience extracting, cleansing, transforming, and analyzing complex billing and payment data.
Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems and data architecture.
Familiarity with AI/ML data requirements, feature engineering, and model-ready datasets.
Experience bridging technical and business requirements for AI initiatives.
Domain Expertise
Strong knowledge of Billing & Payment systems, processes, and data structures.
Experience working with customer billing, invoices, payments, promotions, and offer validation.
Ability to translate billing business logic into data and AI solutions.
