Backend Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Design and build backend systems that are clean, testable, and efficient
- Ship customer-facing features as an engineer in one of our product teams
- Work closely with Deployment, go-to-market teams and our customers to bring them to life
- Turn repeated setup work into product improvements
- Bring care to testing, quality, and long-term maintainability
- Shape our engineering practices and technical culture
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 5+ years as a backend engineer at a modern tech company
- High level of ownership and care for your work, with a track record to show for it
- You enjoy working with customers and can explain technical things to people who aren't engineers
- You take feedback quickly and turn it into growth

Bonus if you've worked on AI features and how to evaluate them, or on product analytics.
Our current stack includes Node.js + TypeScript, Event Sourcing, Express, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, AWS. Experience with these is a plus, but not required. We are more excited about how you approach problems and find solutions.
