Job Title: Financial Reporting Assistant
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

S&W is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant to join its Financial Reporting Team in the Dublin office. The Financial Reporting Assistant will work directly with client finance teams, and their primary responsibility will be to assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and statutory financial statements.
Accordingly, the Financial Reporting Assistant’s day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:
Preparing annual financial statements including statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS 102 accounting standards, partnership accounts, sole trader accounts and trust accounts for tax purposes.
Assisting with the delivery of financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients within agreed timelines and service level quality requirements.
Visiting client premises to undertake on-site accounting needs as required.
Preparing and inputting client transactions into a modern ledger system.
Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns from financial information supplied by clients and preparing Intrastat and VIES sales lists for clients.
Completing other tax services including attending to tax registrations, de-registrations and company secretarial activities including statutory filings.
Keeping manager fully informed of any challenges arising and creating solutions to issues encountered.
Ensuring the work is completed to a level agreed with the manager and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out.
As part of this role, the Financial Reporting Assistant will quickly gain exposure to other areas of Business Outsourcing Services such as Company Secretarial and taxation reporting including filings with the Company Registration Office and preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
Alongside their work, they will also have the opportunity to receive first-class professional training for completing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) qualification, which will enable them to gain a full understanding of the technical aspects of audit and accountancy and additional financial advisory services.
To be eligible the individual must possess the following:
Prior experience with modern accounting packages including cloud-based software.
A third level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
Pursuing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) qualification.
Results orientated to meet and exceed client expectations.
An understanding of accounting standards.
Ability to monitor costs against budget for individual clients.
Ability to deliver high quality work that consistently meets internal and external client deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
