Senior Data Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international e-invoicing project. In this role, you will develop a solution that retrieves invoices via an external API, validates their content, and automatically routes them to the appropriate downstream systems, such as procurement platforms. You will work with Databricks Apps to create a robust backend and an operational UI that shows processing status and errors. This is a remote position open to candidates from Poland and Ukraine. Your tasks
Designing and implementing data pipelines using Databricks Apps and Delta Lake
Developing backend logic in Python for routing and validation of invoices
Integrating external APIs for content retrieval and processing
Creating user interfaces with React.js or Streamlit within Databricks Apps
Ensuring code quality through unit and integration testing
Managing version control and CI/CD processes using Git
Monitoring and logging application performance and errors
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the solution's capabilities
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering or software development
Deep expertise in Databricks, including Apps, Workflows, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
Strong command of Python for backend logic, routing, and API integration
Practical experience with REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth 2.0
Proficiency in frontend development using React.js or Streamlit
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD practices
Advanced level of English
Tax residence in Ukraine is required
Nice to have
Experience with SAP, particularly in e-invoicing and procurement integrations
Familiarity with UBL/PEPPOL standards
