The role ensures best practices in software development and collaborates with stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions. The Senior Software Engineer stays current with technology trends and applies best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Duties
Design and lead implementation of medium-to-large features or services end to end
Make and document architectural decisions; weigh trade-offs across scalability, cost, and maintainability
Mentor and support the growth of less-senior engineers through code review and pairing
Partner closely with product and engineering leadership on roadmap and technical feasibility
Help improve engineering practices — testing, deployment, observability, incident response
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or
High School Diploma/GED and 7 years preferred work experience.
5 years in software development, including experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms.

Strong hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, including scripting (JavaScript/Glide), Flow Designer, and custom application development
Direct experience with ServiceNow SPM (or ITBM/PPM) portfolio, program, project, demand, or resource management modules
Comfortable working with both technical stakeholders and business/PMO partners to shape requirements into working solutions
Track record of owning technical solutions end-to-end in a senior or lead capacity
Roughly 5+ years of ServiceNow experience, or equivalent depth — exact tenure matters less than demonstrated ownership of complex SPM/PPM work
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7 years with a track record of solving complex technical challenges and mentoring engineers.
Experience leading a technical initiative across multiple teams
ServiceNow architecture/administration experience at scale
ITIL certification and knowledge of Agile development process
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
