Sitting within the Singapore payments B2C team, you will be the primary relationship owner for CardUp's high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth clients (UHNW) individuals who pay S$500,000 or more a year through CardUp and will be accountable for growing the volume this segment brings to the business.
For these clients, service matters more than anything else. You will deliver white-glove account management from bespoke pricing and onboarding to compliance facilitation while actively growing the book: acquiring net new HNW users through your own network, outbound and inbound channels; expanding existing users into new payment types; and winning back users who have lapsed.
This role is ideal for a relationship manager with a hunter's instinct , someone who delivers a premium client experience and is energised by owning, and beating, a clear set of growth targets.
What will you do:
1. White-Glove Management of CardUp HNW Users
Serve as the dedicated relationship manager for existing and newly acquired CardUp HNW clients, delivering a premium, high-touch service experience.
Price new requests and renewals in accordance with the CardUp HNW pricing framework, exercising sound commercial judgement to balance client satisfaction with business objectives.
Own the end-to-end onboarding process for HNW accounts — from initial account setup and payment configuration through to go-live.
Proactively facilitate compliance and KYC approvals, liaising with internal teams to ensure a seamless and timely experience for clients.
Build deep, long-term relationships with HNW clients, acting as their trusted point of contact, anticipating their needs before they arise, and safeguarding retention of the book.
2. Acquire New CardUp HNW Users
Originate net new HNW users from your own professional and personal network, and through proactive outbound prospecting.
Own and convert inbound HNW leads, working with the marketing team to qualify demand and shape targeted campaigns for this segment.
Tap referral channels — including Funding Societies' investor base and relevant partners such as wealth advisors and family offices — to open warm introductions.
Drive acquisition conversations from initial qualification through to onboarding, maintaining an exceptional client experience throughout.
3. Grow Volume and Win Back Users
Upsell existing HNW users to additional payment types — such as tax, property, insurance, education and other large recurring expenses — to increase each client's annual payment volume.
Build account plans for priority clients, mapping their full range of eligible payments and the rewards opportunity CardUp can unlock.
Identify and re-engage users who have lapsed following recent pricing changes, using the HNW pricing framework and a premium service proposition to win back their volume.
Track and report on pipeline, acquisition, upsell and win-back performance, feeding client insights back to marketing and product to sharpen targeting and the HNW proposition.
Requirements
What are we looking for:
Experience & Background
4–6 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, financial advisory, or HNW client relationship management.
Demonstrated track record of managing and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients with measurable business outcomes.
Prior experience in fintech, payments, or investment products is a strong advantage.
An established network among HNW individuals, family offices, or their advisors in Singapore is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with compliance, KYC/AML processes, and the regulatory environment for financial products in Singapore.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — you are credible, polished, and able to build trust with senior, high-net-worth individuals quickly.
Commercial acumen and a business-development mindset — able to open doors, grow wallet share and win back relationships without being pushy or transactional.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and workflows simultaneously.
A self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable owning targets and operating with ambiguity in a lean, fast-moving team.
Data-driven approach to pipeline management and performance tracking.
