Junior Data Scientist

Playtech Managed Services is looking for an experienced Junior Data Scientist to help support new products related to predictive modeling and machine learning in the iGaming industry. This role will be a key member of the Product team supporting the advancement of new and innovative products for a strategic partner in a regulated market. The initial focus will be on incident detection models, with expansion to customer behavior prediction, fraud detection, and player lifetime value modeling.

Assist in designing, building, and testing predictive models, initially focusing on incident detection systems, under the guidance of senior team members, with gradual exposure to customer behavior prediction, fraud detection, and player lifetime value modeling.
Support the deployment of machine learning models to production environments in collaboration with the technical teams.
Help monitor model performance, including accuracy, reliability, and business impact metrics, and promptly report any deviations.
Extract, clean, transform, and analyze datasets from multiple sources, including real-time and batch data processing systems, using SQL and Python.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for predictive modeling.
Assist in building and maintaining model performance monitoring systems to track accuracy, drift, and business impact of deployed models.
Contribute to improving model performance through retraining, feature engineering, and algorithm optimization as assigned.
Ensure work with data and models follows regulatory requirements and responsible gambling principles.

Have strong experience in building predictive models and machine learning solutions from scratch.
Demonstrated expertise in deploying models to production environments.
Have 1 year of experience in data science, data analysis, or machine learning roles.
Are fluent in English.
Are experienced in working with both real-time and batch data processing.
Possess strong programming skills in Python or other preferred data science languages.
Are experienced working with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Are an excellent problem-solver with proven attention to detail and analytical thinking.
