Purchasing Clerk

The Purchasing Agent I supports procurement operations by processing purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role also assists with vendor sourcing, order tracking, and cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and support vendor relationships
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery requirements
Create and manage purchase orders
Track orders and resolve delivery or pricing issues
Maintain purchasing data, part numbers, pricing, and BOMs in JDE
Coordinate RMAs and supplier follow-up
Communicate order status with internal stakeholders
Support sourcing strategies and cost reduction efforts
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of purchasing, procurement, or related experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) preferred
