Position Title: Electrical Engineering Intern
Start Date: Spring
Position Summary:
The role focuses on product development and laboratory research. As a Spring Intern -
Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering (Embedded Systems Development) at the
company, you will partner with the Engineering team to develop, test, and validate embedded
hardware and firmware solutions used in advanced industrial and scientific instrumentation
products. In this role, you will report to the Flow Solutions Engineering Manager. You will gain
hands-on experience working with embedded microcontroller systems, communication
interfaces, hardware bring-up, and product development activities while collaborating closely
with senior engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
● Supporting hardware design validation, board bring-up and troubleshooting activities.
● Assisting in the development and testing of embedded firmware for
microcontroller-based systems.
● Developing and executing test procedures to verify system functionality and
performance.
● Working with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or Ethernet.
● Assisting with debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory
equipment.
● Documenting designs, test results, and development activities to support engineering
projects.
Required Qualifications:
● Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,
or a related field.
● Junior standing preferred (typically completed core EE/CE coursework).
● Basic understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital electronics.
● Experience programming in C/C++.
● Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic
analyzers.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
● (Optional)
● Experience with STM32, NXP, TI, Microchip, or similar embedded microcontroller
platforms.
● Experience with electronic schematics and PCB layout tools.
● Exposure to version control systems

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $23.00–$31.00 per hour.
