Project Engineering Intern

Position Title: Project Engineering Intern
Start Date: Spring
Job Description:
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operations and controls and automation.
Responsibilities:
Support the company’s technology delivery operations from design to startup as part of large and medium scale automation projects for customers
Review and correct electrical and/or P&ID drawings
Assure project work meets customer specifications by testing network configurations, HMI screens and electrical connectivity of devices etc.
Help create training material for customers to satisfy project delivery requirements
Learn project delivery and management software's and procedures used to manage large scale projects.
Learn industrial automation project delivery methods and concepts
Required Qualifications:
Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university
Availability for 40 hours a week (8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Co-Ops: Mid-January -Mid August
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Interned with the company through an event
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to approach challenges with innovative solutions
Proven experience collaborating with and leading others to achieve project goals, prioritizing competing tasks and presenting complex information to diverse audiences
Experience with industrial automation, electrical wiring or P&ID drawings

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $22–32 per hour.
