Head - Airside Safety & Compliance -

Job Purpose
This position at the Sector level will be responsible for developing and implementing standardize Airside safety framework for airport sector comprising Safety ConOps, SLA with airports, compliance checks, audits, training program for the organization’s safety management system (SMS) to the benefit of accountable managers. It supports a formalized, shared and consolidated strategic vision on Airside Safety, conduct regular audits and reviews.
The manager will perform oversight function in ensuring compliance to national and international regulations by GMR airports.

Key Accountabilities

Creation of Airside Safety and Compliance framework (ConOps, Internal and external SLA, SOP, KPI/ KPA) etc.
Documentation ensuring clarity of internal organization according to law
Enhanced safety management: Contribute to enhancement of safety management processes and procedures
Monthly network meetings
Safety incidents reduction
Number of initiatives in safety management at Airside
Safety audit planning and implementation
Ensure the coordination of resources dedicated (internal/external) to compliance monitoring
Participate in designing compliance monitoring plans, compliance manual by interfacing with the safety office and airside operations of airports
Collect and consolidate data to monitor compliance at each airport, in liaison with Safety offices.
Ensure document management of compliance activities including regular review of regulation
Carry out internal and external audits and review
Participate in exchanges with the authorities regarding compliance monitoring

Safety Culture at Airside:
Model and promote an organizational culture that fosters safety practices (regulatory practices and rules, standard operations procedures, compliance monitoring…)

Information gateway:
Act as an information conduit to bring safety issues (incidents/ bird strikes/ excursions, etc) to the attention of management and to deliver safety information to the organization’s staff, contractors and stakeholders.
Coordinate and spur risk assessments by the assets and track the mitigation measures.
Maintaining current safety dashboard of individual airports
Provide and articulate information regarding safety issues within the organization (findings, KPI, actions plan, standardization) Periodicity of deliverable

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate; PGDBA/ MBA preferable
Relevant Experience
10-15 years of experience including 5 years in Airside Operations/ Safety Dept of Airport.
