Title: Software Engineer
Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203
Duties: Work within an agile team environment to perform software development activities. Design, develop, drive and deliver technical solutions to the business in timely and efficiently. Work closely with and mentor software engineers. Work in an agile environment, helping improve process and define development best practices. Document and/or review testing results working closely with other developers and product owners to resolve reported issues. As a member of the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) development team, responsible for the analysis, design, coding and testing of Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC) components. Utilize Oracle WCC, MSSQL and/or Oracle DB and Java skill set. Work with business stakeholders to define, analyze, and document business requirements to help implement solutions consistent with the needs of Rating Groups and other MIS strategic objectives, including
use case development as needed for clear understanding by business and development teams. Provide support for business and data requirements.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with Core Java, PL/SQL, Python, HTML, XML, FileNet, AWS, Ctrl-M and working with open source code and frameworks; and Agile environments, JIRA, Confluence, REST API with authentication and authorization using OAUTH.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,934 to $138,550/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
