Snow Removal - Crew Leader

Typical start time is 4:00 am (on call)
Sidewalk crews are given a minimum 30/hr weekly guarantee.

About the Opportunity
This position is responsible for carrying out a high standard of work relating to the Snow Removal division at Peter Hughes Landscape. This work includes but is not limited to on-site training and direction of crew members & lead hands, driving a truck with an attached trailer, shoveling snow, operating small engine equipment (backpack blowers, sweepers, & snow blowers), scraping ice, and assisting other departments as needed.
Provide instruction to the crew
Drive your crew to sites around the city and surrounding areas
Shovel snow and clear ice from all designated areas, including sidewalks, walkways, and entrance points.
Apply salt, sand, ice melt, or gravel as required
Operate and utilize machines such as snow blowers, sidewalk sweepers, and backpack blowers to clear snow efficiently
Remove all garbage and debris from sites to maintain cleanliness standards
What You Bring to the Table
Minimum 1 year of crew leader experience in the landscaping/property maintenance industry
Able to work on-call during the winter season
Demonstrated competency in using property maintenance equipment (shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, sweepers)
Commitment to demonstrating high-quality workmanship, efficient production, and exceeding safety requirements
Clean and professional appearance, punctual, and dependable
