JOB TITLE: Federal Work Study – Academic Division

COMPENSATION: $15.00 per hour

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be eligible for the Federal Work Study program as determined by Northern Pennsylvania Regional College, Financial Aid Office
Current enrollment as a student in good standing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Dependable, organized, professional, and able to follow directions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, email, shared files, and general computer applications.
Comfort working with students, employees, community members, and external partners in a professional manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle student or institutional information appropriately.
Interest in higher education, student support, career development, outreach, marketing, or community engagement preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with diverse audiences.
Attention to detail when entering data, preparing materials, and organizing information.
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and communication tools.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also contributing to team projects.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Federal Work Study (FWS)- Academic Division, position provides general support to the Academic Division and assists with projects connected to career services, student services, dual enrollment recruitment and support, business outreach, social media, and other academic initiatives as assigned. This position is ideal for a dependable student who is interested in gaining professional office experience, developing communication and project support skills, and contributing to student success and community engagement efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide general administrative and project support for the Academic Division, including organizing materials, preparing documents, updating spreadsheets, entering data, and assisting with routine office tasks.
Assist with career services projects, which may include helping organize career resources, employer information, student-facing materials, event materials, and related communications.
Support student services initiatives by helping prepare resources, track project tasks, update informational materials, and assist with outreach connected to student success and engagement.
Help with dual enrollment recruitment and support activities, including preparing materials for high school students and partners, assisting with event preparation, organizing contact lists, and attending events when
Assist with business and community outreach projects by researching employer contacts, organizing outreach information, compiling employer information, preparing materials, and supporting communication efforts under staff direction.
Assist with social media and digital communication projects as needed.
Maintain accurate records, files, and project notes while following College procedures related to confidentiality, professionalism, and appropriate use of information.
Communicate professionally with students, employees, community partners, and external contacts in person, by phone, through email, or through virtual platforms as

Consistent access to a vehicle and/or reliable means to get to work on time every workday.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
