Principal Software Engineer – Python/AWS at BairesDev
In this role, you'll build and operate the AWS serverless infrastructure behind products used by millions of collectors. This is a hands-on position where your depth in cloud-native architecture directly shapes how reliably the platform runs and scales. This is your opportunity to set the technical standard for how the team builds on AWS, from infrastructure as code to container orchestration.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement services on AWS serverless infrastructure (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
- Own complete features end to end, from design through deployment.
- Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Design data models across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
- Background in PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
- Advanced proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with batch processing pipelines.
