Senior FullStack (Go/TypeScript) Engineer - Remote - Peru

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the technology team of a leading organization providing technology-driven solutions across health, employee benefits, insurance, HR, and financial services. This is a senior-level engineering role for someone with a strong background in building and evolving scalable, production-grade software systems. You’ll work across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and modern applications, contributing not only to implementation but also to architecture, technical direction, and engineering decisions. We’re looking for someone who can operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, navigate complex technical problems, and make sound decisions while collaborating closely with engineers and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
Develop backend services and APIs primarily using Go.
Contribute to applications and services using TypeScript.
Build and work with cloud-based applications and services.
Contribute to system architecture and technical design, evaluating trade-offs and helping shape long-term technical solutions.
Take ownership of complex technical initiatives from definition through delivery.
Make sound technical decisions and recommendations based on business and engineering requirements.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and continuously improve system performance, reliability, security, and quality.
Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement across the development process.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience with a strong track record of building and supporting production systems.
Strong professional experience with Go and solid proficiency with TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with cloud services and cloud-based architectures.
Strong experience with software architecture, system design, APIs, and distributed systems.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex technical initiatives and drive them through completion.
Strong technical judgment, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs, identify risks, and make sound engineering decisions.
Ability to work independently while knowing when to collaborate, seek input, or escalate technical challenges.
Experience working with modern development, testing, deployment, and version-control practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into practical solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a distributed engineering environment.
High standards for code quality, reliability, maintainability, and engineering excellence.
Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare, health benefits, insurance, or related industries.
Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive environments.
Experience building systems involving complex data, integrations, or business-critical workflows.
Additional
US Timezone Overlap: 6-8 hours overlap with PST.
