Founding Fullstack Engineer

Company Description Attenditai is a cloud-based attendance management platform that helps schools, nonprofits, events, workplaces, fitness studios, and other organizations track real-time presence. Users can check in via QR code, tablet kiosk, self check-in link, or CSV roster import, replacing paper sign-in sheets and manual spreadsheets. The platform offers automated reports, real-time dashboards, role-based access control, and grant-ready documentation to simplify operations and oversight. Built-in anti-proxy features prevent buddy punching, while automations handle reminders, parent notifications, and threshold alerts. Reports export seamlessly to Excel, PDF, or payroll systems, supporting accurate record-keeping and compliance.
Role Description As a Founding Fullstack Engineer at Attenditai, you will design, build, and maintain core product features across the front-end and back-end of our cloud-based platform. You will collaborate closely with the founding team to define technical architecture, implement scalable APIs, refine the user experience, and ensure robust security and reliability. Typical responsibilities include coding new features, improving performance, integrating third-party services, setting up testing and deployment pipelines, and monitoring production systems. You will also contribute to product decisions, help shape engineering best practices, and assist with technical documentation. This is a full-time, remote role with significant ownership over the technical direction of the product.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with experience owning features end-to-end.
Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills, including work with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Candidates should possess experience building secure, scalable cloud-based applications and integrating third-party services.
Candidates should possess proficiency with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and comfort working in an early-stage, remote startup environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
