Founding Technical Account Executive

We're looking for a technical seller with hunger over pedigree. You can whiteboard a data architecture with an engineer in the morning and close the business owner over dinner. This is not an inbound SaaS role. You'll be on a plane most weeks, in the room with the people who own the data. There's no playbook yet; you'll write it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Find and win organizations that produce real-time data many independent consumers need immediately: trading venues, sportsbooks and sports data providers, esports, industrial and factory systems, public health and government agencies, and early-warning networks for natural disasters
- Replace their cloud WebSocket and CDN distribution with DoubleZero, and make the case in their terms: deterministic delivery, synchronized arrival across consumers, lower bandwidth cost, and end-to-end security
- Show data owners how to turn a cost center into a revenue line by publishing their feeds to paying subscribers over the network
- Travel 80%+ of the time. Build relationships in person, run discovery with technical and commercial stakeholders, and carry deals from first meeting to signed pilot
- Bring what you hear in the field back to product and engineering, and shape what we build for each new industry
- Build the sales motion from zero, and as it works, help hire and lead the team that grows around it
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A track record selling technical infrastructure, such as cloud, networking, data platforms, or market data. Solutions architect or sales engineer backgrounds (AWS, GCP, Azure, CDN, or streaming vendors) are a strong fit
- You understand how real-time data moves today (WebSockets, pub/sub, CDNs, message buses) well enough to explain why it breaks at scale, without needing an engineer in the room
- An existing network among data owners in one or more of: financial markets, sports betting, esports, industrial automation, transportation, utilities, public health, or disaster detection
- High EQ: you read the room, earn trust quickly, and know the difference between a technical objection and a political one
- Energized by travel, and comfortable without a playbook: you operate independently, manage your own expense budget, and figure out what works by doing it
- Hunger over pedigree: you want to build a book of business from zero on a product that's new to the market, and you care more about the upside than the title you're leaving behind
