Job Description:
The Senior Data and Analytics Systems Analyst provides senior hands-on technical analysis, design, development, integration, implementation, and production support for the College's enterprise data and analytics platforms, with a primary focus on the enterprise data warehouse. This position independently develops and optimizes complex SQL, data models, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations involving legacy, on-premises, and software-as-a-service systems. This position also develops and supports Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions, including semantic models, governed data products, and approved emerging capabilities such as data agents. The Senior Data and Analytics Systems Analyst implements and monitors data quality controls, diagnoses complex data and production issues, and advises College clients and technical teams on secure, reliable, supportable implementation options. This position works within approved enterprise architecture, governance, security, and technology standards; contributes recommendations for platform improvement; and acts as technical lead for assigned workstreams while guiding less-experienced technical staff.
Required Qualifications:
Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data and Analytics, or a closely related field.
Relevant professional certifications are considered an asset but are not mandatory where equivalent education, training, and experience have been demonstrated.
At least five (5) years of advanced SQL development and work with enterprise relational databases.
Substantial experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise data warehouse and ETL/ELT solutions.
Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, including legacy and software-as-a-service applications.
Experience supporting production data services and resolving complex data, performance, and integration issues.
Experience with Power BI and modern data and analytics platforms; Microsoft Fabric experience is preferred.
Experience translating business requirements into secure, supportable, and reusable data solutions; independently delivering complex technical work; leading defined technical workstreams; and guiding less-experienced analysts or developers.
