The Associate Product Manager supports the Product Management team in representing, interfacing with, and engaging internal and external business stakeholders, customers, and software development teams. This role contributes to the product development lifecycle by helping identify customer needs, define requirements, support backlog management, and facilitate communication between business and technical teams. At a high level, this team member:
Supports the communication of product and project goals so the development team understands the intended outcomes and is equipped to deliver against them
Clearly communicates product requirements through epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, wireframes, and other supporting materials
Partners with Product Management leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand customer needs, business objectives, and technical considerations
What you'll do:
Conduct customer interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and other discovery activities to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
Analyze customer feedback from support tickets, app reviews, surveys, and other available sources to identify trends and opportunities
Combine qualitative customer feedback with quantitative data to support product decisions and recommendations
Represent the customer perspective when collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams
Partner with senior members of the Product team to develop epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other requirements and communicate those requirements to the development team
Work with internal and external stakeholders to break high-level problems into actionable pieces of work for the development team
Develop and maintain supporting product materials such as workflows, process documentation, wireframes, and other requirements documentation
Contribute to product vision and strategy discussions by bringing customer feedback, business needs, and research findings to the conversation
Participate in product strategy and roadmap discussions as appropriate for assigned products and initiatives
Provide a business and customer perspective on the value and priority of user stories and help answer questions from the development team
Assist in establishing clear goals, timelines, and expected outcomes for development efforts and help communicate those expectations to stakeholders
Support management and prioritization of the product backlog, including features, enhancements, and defects, in partnership with senior Product team members
Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to help prioritize work based on business value, customer needs, complexity, and organizational priorities
Serve as a resource for the development team by researching product details, business processes, customer needs, and requirements and providing timely clarification
Collaborate with the development team throughout the product development lifecycle to define, design, accept, and adapt features
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and other development team activities as appropriate
Work with the development team to ensure requirements are understood and that completed work aligns with the intended customer and business outcomes
Provide timely feedback to customers, end users, stakeholders, and the development team throughout the product development process
Remain accessible to the development team and proactively participate in team activities and discussions
Monitor assigned product work and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to the appropriate Product team members and stakeholders
Support the Product team in ensuring development efforts remain aligned with customer needs, business objectives, and agreed-upon priorities
What you'll need:
Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent, well-rounded written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience contributing to or coordinating projects, initiatives, or cross-functional efforts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Familiarity with standard product and project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Figma, Google Drive, or similar platforms
Demonstrated ability to learn new products, processes, technologies, and business concepts quickly
Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues
Demonstrated progression of responsibilities, skills, and achievements in previous roles
University degree in a technical, business, or related field and/or 2+ years of related work experience
Experience working in a product management, project management, business analysis, software development, customer experience, or other related environment preferred
Qualifications Preferred
Demonstrated interest in developing a career in Product Management and continuing to build product management skills and domain knowledge
Strong drive to take on new challenges, learn quickly, and contribute to the organization's success
Experience working with software development teams or within an Agile development environment
Experience gathering and documenting business or customer requirements
Familiarity with product discovery, user research, usability testing, or data analysis
Physical Demands
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to operate a computer and other office machinery
Able to travel if necessary
