Software Developer I

Job Description:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, debug, and thoroughly document basic software systems or application programs.
Solve technical problems through in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address intricate project requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and established development methodologies.
Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a cutting-edge approach.
May work with higher-level software developers for more complex projects.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience in software development, computer engineering, or related position.
Advanced or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 2 or more years of experience preferred.
Certifications in coding programs such as Python, JavaScript, or C++ preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must demonstrate analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Strong technical computer programming and trouble-shooting skills.
High attention to detail.
Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
Work requires frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
Ability to sit comfortably for prolonged periods of time.
Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting customers and project sites.
