Job Description

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Business Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Reporting and Analysis, the Data & Visual Insights Analyst supports the organization's reporting, analytics and business intelligence functions by gathering, organizing, analyzing and distributing insights that feed operational, financial and strategic decision-making. The role is responsible for maintaining recurring reports, designing dashboards, administering data feeds, monitoring data quality, performing foundational analyses, and assisting with reporting automation initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior analysts and business leaders, develop technical expertise in reporting, SQL, data management, visualization, and business intelligence while helping stakeholders understand business performance through accurate and timely information. They will also be detail-oriented, intellectually curious professionals with a passion for data and continuous learning.They combine strong analytical thinking, technical aptitude, and business awareness to deliver accurate reporting and actionable insights. Through reliable report delivery, strong stakeholder support, and ongoing development of SQL, reporting, visualization, and analytical skills, they build the foundation for progression into senior analytics and business intelligence roles.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Maintain and update daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
Produce recurring operational, financial, and management reporting packages
Administer systematic reporting processes and ensure reports are delivered accurately and on schedule
Monitor business performance metrics and identify notable trends and exceptions
Assist with report enhancements and modifications based on stakeholder requirements
Coordinate reporting activities and support reporting schedules across business areas
Dashboard Development & Data Visualization
Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports that communicate business performance
Design basic visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Support senior analysts in dashboard development and reporting projects
Prepare presentations and reporting materials that communicate analytical findings effectively
Apply visualization best practices and standardized reporting formats
Data Quality, Governance & Data Management
Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple systems
Maintain critical reporting tables, data repositories, and reporting datasets
Document source tables, data definitions, business rules, and reporting processes
Identify, investigate, and escalate data quality issues and reporting discrepancies
Support data governance initiatives and maintain compliance with reporting standards
Assist with the management of internal and third-party data feeds used for reporting and analysis
Data Analysis & Insights
Gather, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support business questions and decision-making
Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
Support senior analysts in evaluating operational and financial performance
Provide meaningful business context and insights alongside analytical outputs
Assist with performance measurement and KPI reporting initiatives
Data Retrieval
Write and maintain basic queries to retrieve and validate data using the appropriate tool/scripting language for the task
Extract data for dashboards, reports, and analytical projects.
Learn relational database concepts, reporting structures, and data models.
Support reporting automation and data optimization initiatives.
Assist with maintaining reporting datasets and data warehouse structures
Reporting Automation & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting activities.
Assist with optimization of existing reports and reporting workflows.
Support efforts to improve reporting efficiency, speed, and usability.
Help eliminate redundant reports and streamline information delivery processes.
Participate in reporting enhancement and data management projects
Stakeholder Support & Training
Work closely with managers and business partners to understand reporting requirements.
Respond to data and reporting inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in educating end users on reporting tools, data sources, and analytical capabilities.
Build positive working relationships across departments.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively

Experience, Education
· University Degree in Computer Science, Finance. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, related analytical discipline or equivalent experience
· 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Reporting, Business Intelligence, Finance Analytics or a related field
· Experience working with data, spreadsheets, reports, or dashboards.
