Position SummaryThe Product Owner provides oversight, alignment, and support for the Product Information Management (PIM) system. You will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product features and enhancements that drive the success of our PIM system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure the PIM system meets the needs of our business and supports our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
• Product Vision and Strategy: Coordinating with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, and business stakeholders, you will develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for the PIM system in alignment with Bridgestone's overall business goals.
• Backlog Management: Develop, refine, and prioritize the product backlog. Ensure that the solution is aligned to the business needs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable features.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with development teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely delivery of high-quality features. Lead periodic stakeholder reviews and other agile ceremonies.
• User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to support development activities.
• Release Planning: Plan product releases and set expectations for the delivery of new functionalities. Ensure that the release process is smooth and that new features are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
• Performance Monitoring: Define key performance metrics and regularly monitor performance to ensure user needs and business objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance: Manage QA processes and outcomes to ensure data quality.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to users to maximize the value derived from the PIM system.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®), Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) or similar certification is preferred.
Experience with PIM software (e.g., Informatica) and RESTful APIs is a plus.
"5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role with a focus on product information management or related systems.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of PIM systems, data governance, and information management principles.
• Tech Skills: Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority."
