Senior Cost Consultant - M&E

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be involved in:
Supporting a major project in Ottawa
Leading a team of like-minded individuals to drive the best value and opportunities for the client whether that be through design or construction.
Working with our reporting and scheduling teams to develop clear and concise monthly reports that showcase all aspects of the project.
Driving packages of work through from inception of package through to completion including working with our estimating team, seeing it through procurement and then monitoring the works on site.
Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
Providing educated guidance and insight on all aspects of the project to drive improvement and efficiencies.
Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data.
Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards
Assessing and validating design as well as post contract cost changes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.
Inputting into value engineering and life cycle costing.
Assisting the Commission Manager ensuring commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
Assisting the Commission Manager to ensure service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment.
Assisting our Associate Directors / Directors in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated is inputted into internal databases and shared.
Eligible to work in Canada.
5 - 10 years of relevant experience including working on at least two major projects or programs
A recognized post-secondary education certificate, diploma or degree
Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and/or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada or be able to secure one
Advanced knowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset
