About Elveo
Elveo is what happens when two pioneers in direct-to-device (D2D) communications join forces. Elveo brings together a combined 20 years of expertise to close the coverage gap for more than 50 mobile network operators (MNOs) and major distribution partners operating in 60+ countries worldwide.
That heritage and our technology powers what we call ‘elevated intelligence’ — a new approach that processes and adapts on orbit, delivering voice and data services straight to mobile users, IoT devices and machines across enterprise, government and humanitarian sectors worldwide.
As a team, we’re on a mission to deliver powerful compute and connectivity directly to individuals and objects everywhere on Earth.
Join us, and become part of a globally inclusive company that is transforming satellite communications from a niche service to an essential global infrastructure, and democratizing connectivity for billions worldwide.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Elveo's Systems Engineering team is building the tools that let engineers and operators understand, configure, and manage a large-scale satellite constellation in real time. We're looking for a UI/graphics software engineer to own the visualization and interaction layer for our System Simulation Tool (SST) and System Orchestration and Resource Manager (SORM).
This is a front-end-heavy graphics/UI role embedded in a systems engineering organization. We are specifically interested in engineers who come from games or other real-time graphics work: people who know how to hold a frame budget, bind UI to fast-changing state, and make a complex system legible at a glance. The role will work hand in hand with our system simulation engineers, who own the backend modeling (Python/Rust) of constellation state, satellite behavior, and system performance (orbit propagation, coverage, link budgets, resource allocation). The job is to make that data visual, interactive, and actionable: real-time 3D/2D visualization of satellites, Earth Fixed Cells (EFCs), data rates, and coverage geometry, plus the graphical interface engineers use to drive the resource manager (power allocation, frequency assignment, EFC laydown, EFC-to-satellite assignment, and related constraints).
No aerospace background is required. We will teach you the domain (coordinate frames, orbit geometry, beam and cell concepts), and we expect you to become fluent enough to understand how the data is presented.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Design and build real-time, data-bound visualizations of constellation state (satellite positions, orbits and ground tracks, EFCs, gateways, inter-satellite links, beam and coverage footprints, and contact windows) driven by both live and recorded simulation output.
• Build time-dynamic controls, including playback, scrubbing, time acceleration, and scenario comparison, so engineers can step through a simulation run and compare constellation architectures or allocation strategies side by side.
• Develop the graphical UI for the System Orchestration and Resource Manager, turning backend allocation, optimization, routing, and scheduling output into interfaces engineers can use to inspect, adjust, and make decisions (e.g., power and frequency conflicts, EFC-to-satellite assignment, coverage vs. capacity trade-offs). This includes editable inputs and what-if workflows.
• Build the 2D engineering views: time-series plots, timelines for contact windows and schedules, heatmaps, and tabular drill-down.
• Partner closely with the system simulation engineers to define data models, schemas, and transport between the Python/Rust simulation backend and the visualization layer.
• Make architectural calls on rendering platform and tooling weighing performance, deployment, and long-term maintainability.
• Keep the visualization responsive as the constellation scales to thousands of satellites and hundreds of thousands of cells, using instancing, level-of-detail, culling, GPU/shader-based rendering, and profiling.
• Iterate on UI/UX with systems engineers, operators, and business development as end users, including customer- and investor-facing demonstration views.
• Establish engineering practices for the visualization codebase: automated testing, CI/CD, packaging and deployment, and documentation.
• Contribute to both tools' evolution as the constellation architecture and operational requirements change.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Game Development/Design with a strong programming focus, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience, including UI/graphics development in games or other real-time 3D applications (simulation, visualization, AR/VR).
• Strong proficiency in AI code generation, TypeScript/JavaScript (web clients) or C++/C# (engine-based clients), and willingness to work across all.
• Strong grasp of real-time rendering fundamentals (cameras, scene management, shaders, frame budgets) and of building responsive UIs driven by continuously updating data.
• Comfortable owning both visual/UX decisions and the underlying engineering.
• Ability to work directly with backend/simulation engineers to define interfaces between systems.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, code review, and writing maintainable, well-documented code.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with geospatial visualization frameworks or 3D/game engines applied to non-gaming, data-visualization contexts.
• Experience streaming large datasets to a client and rendering large entity counts efficiently on the GPU.
• Exposure to satellite orbits, satellite systems, or aerospace concepts (ECI/ECEF frames, TLEs, ground tracks, STK).
• Python coding experience.
• Full-stack experience, since the role will touch the data pipelines feeding the visualization layer as well as the front end itself.
• Experience building operator- or engineer-facing tools (dashboards, decision-support interfaces) rather than purely consumer-facing UI.
