Summary
The Project Manager independently manages small–to–mid‑sized projects and/or complex workstreams within larger programs that support organizational strategy. The role plans, resources, executes, monitors, and closes projects; maintains rigorous governance (scope, schedule, budget, quality); and drives benefits realization through measurable outcomes. This role partners with sponsors and senior leaders, prepares executive‑ready updates, facilitates cross‑functional decision‑making, and mentors junior project staff. The role applies enterprise PMO standards and recommends process improvements to increase delivery effectiveness
Job Duties
Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and outcomes align with organizational goals.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and dependencies. Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, governance requirements, and established project management methodologies.
Own project governance, including risk, issue, change, and dependency management with timely escalation.
Direct cross-functional teams and external partners, serving as the single point of accountability for results.
Manage stakeholder engagement and communications, aligning expectations and resolving issues across all levels.
Facilitate project meetings and working sessions, driving decisions, accountability, and follow-through.
Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance management in accordance with policy.
Begin to be recognized as a trusted resource for high-quality results and accountability
Mentor project staff and drive continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
3 years of project management or closely related experience leading cross‑functional work.
Proven ability to work independently under general supervision and tackle difficult problems using broader business context.
Strong communication and influence skills; ability to partner with executives and cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project/Smartsheet), collaboration tools (Teams/SharePoint), and reporting (e.g., Excel/Power BI).
Budget/resource planning, vendor/SOW coordination, and disciplined risk/issue/change management.
High emotional intelligence and relationship building; strong research and strategic analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of project management or closely related experience leading cross‑functional work.
Experience in healthcare environments; experience operating within a PMO.
Knowledge of healthcare work processes and regulatory considerations.
