Role Description This part-time remote DevOps Engineer role at BK CONSULTING GABON focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support software delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, configuring and managing CI pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to streamline release processes. The DevOps Engineer monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues across environments, and ensures reliability and scalability of Linux-based systems. The role also involves documenting configurations, following security and compliance best practices, and continuously improving automation and workflows.
Qualifications
Strong System Administration and Linux skills, with experience managing and securing production environments.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices to define, deploy, and manage infrastructure in an automated way.
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, including build, test, and deployment automation.
Solid Software Development skills, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams and contribution to automation scripts and tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize tasks in a part-time schedule, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
Understanding of security, monitoring, and logging best practices in DevOps environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
