Developer Support Engineer, AI - APAC

We're hiring a Developer Support Engineer, AI to serve our growing developer community across Asia-Pacific. You'll be the go-to technical partner for developers in the region - many of whom build trading and market-data platforms in APAC and Europe that consume US market data - helping them integrate Massive's APIs and SDKs while extending our support coverage into APAC business and market hours.
As markets move toward extended (23/5) trading, our APAC customers increasingly rely on the platform during hours when our US team is offline. You'll own that window: providing responsive, expert support when Asian markets are active, and handing off cleanly to the US team as their day begins.
This is a hands-on, developer-facing role for someone who enjoys both debugging a tricky integration and writing the docs and samples that help the next developer. It's also an AI-forward role: you'll use and help build LLM-powered tooling and agents to diagnose and resolve issues faster, so a lean regional team can support a large developer base.
This position is remote within APAC, and for an exceptional candidate we're open to other APAC locations in a compatible time zone where we can employ through an Employer of Record. Core working hours are roughly 09:00-18:00 SGT (01:00-10:00 UTC), which places you across Asian markets and business hours and covers the overnight window for our US team, whose day runs approximately 13:00-22:00 UTC. A regular overlap with the US team's morning is expected for handoff and collaboration, so our developers have responsive support around the clock on weekdays.
Responsibilities
Help developers across APAC integrate Massive's APIs and SDKs - guiding, troubleshooting, and unblocking them across support channels
Support customers building trading and market-data applications, including those in APAC and Europe that trade on US markets - understanding their data needs, latency expectations, and cross-market workflows
Use and help build AI/LLM-powered tools and agents to triage, reproduce, and resolve developer issues faster - orchestrating models and internal tooling into repeatable troubleshooting workflows
Provide reliable support coverage during APAC business and market hours, extending the platform's responsiveness while the US team is offline and supporting extended (23/5) trading activity
Diagnose and resolve technical issues spanning integration, deployment, and product functionality; reproduce problems locally and document root causes and workarounds
Improve the developer experience proactively: spot recurring pain points, anticipate confusion from API and SDK changes, and address issues before they spread
Create and maintain developer-facing content - documentation, knowledge-base articles, tutorials, and code samples - so more developers can self-serve
Keep sample repositories healthy: fix broken builds, update dependencies, and make sure examples work with the latest API versions
Partner with engineering across regions and time zones to turn recurring developer issues into lasting product and tooling improvements, and hand off open items cleanly to the US team at the start of their day
Be the voice of the APAC developer internally, surfacing regional feedback that informs the roadmap
Communicate clearly across audiences and cultures, translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical people
Own your work end to end, from first report to verified resolution
Skills & Qualifications
Around 3+ years in developer support, software development, developer relations, or a closely related field - if your experience looks different but you can do the work, we still want to hear from you
Working knowledge of financial market data and/or trading platforms, with experience on platforms in APAC or Europe that trade on US markets a strong advantage - you understand what traders and quant developers need from a market-data feed
Comfort working with REST APIs and client-side integrations
Hands-on experience with at least one language commonly used to build or consume REST APIs (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Java)
Solid grasp of HTTP methods, request/response structures, and common authentication mechanisms (API keys, OAuth, tokens)
Experience using debugging and API tooling (e.g., browser dev tools, Postman, curl, logs) to isolate issues
Hands-on experience using LLMs and AI coding assistants in a technical workflow, and genuine interest in orchestrating agents and tools - prompt design, function and tool calling, evaluating and correcting model output - to investigate and resolve issues
Professional fluency in written and spoken English, as our product, docs, and global team operate in English
Clear communication and a genuine, customer-centric approach to helping developers - you're comfortable being the primary technical contact for the region
The ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, coordinating with colleagues across time zones
Existing right to work in Singapore, or another APAC location where we can employ through an Employer of Record - please indicate where you are based and your work authorization status
Nice to Have
Direct experience at a broker, trading firm, market-data vendor, or fintech - especially involving US market data consumed from outside the US
Experience building agentic or automated support and troubleshooting workflows
Proficiency in an additional regional language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Japanese, or another APAC language) to better support local developers
Familiarity with market-data concepts: real-time vs. delayed feeds, aggregates/bars, corporate actions, exchange entitlements, and market hours across regions
Experience engaging developer communities (forums, GitHub, Discord/Slack, Stack Overflow), especially in APAC
Familiarity with DevOps concepts and practices
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
