The context
This contractor runs multiple active infrastructure projects across western India and has relied on site engineers and a thin corporate HR team to handle workplace disputes and grievances as they come up. As headcount on sites grows, that arrangement is not holding, and the company has partnered with Flexiple to bring in a specialist who can own employee relations properly across its project sites and head office.
What the role covers
Investigate and resolve grievances raised by site and corporate staff
Advise project managers and site supervisors on handling disciplinary matters
Maintain consistent, well-documented case files and resolution records
Interpret HR policy and labour-law requirements for site-specific situations
Track recurring issues across sites and flag patterns to HR leadership
Support exit interviews and separation cases where relations issues are involved
What we expect you to bring
3 to 8 years in employee relations, HR generalist, or industrial relations work
Solid grounding in Indian labour law, particularly as it applies to contract and site labour
Comfort travelling periodically to project sites when a case needs it
Calm, fair judgement when handling disputes between employees and supervisors
Useful extras
Prior employee-relations experience in construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing
Exposure to unionised or blue-collar workforces
A postgraduate qualification in HR, labour law, or industrial relations
