Role Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a highly technical, execution-oriented Cloud Solutions Engineer to drive complex engineering engagements across a portfolio of strategic OCI customers.
This role combines cloud architecture and technical leadership with strong technical program management skills. The Cloud Solutions Engineer works across customers, OCI Product Engineering, systems integrators, Oracle delivery services, and account teams to turn technical priorities into coordinated execution.
The ideal candidate can understand the architecture and engineering problem, engage credibly with technical stakeholders, and then drive the people, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables required to achieve the customer outcome.
What You’ll Do
Drive Technical Execution
Lead complex technical initiatives from architecture and planning through production adoption.
Translate customer priorities into clear technical plans with milestones, deliverables, owners, dependencies, and success criteria.
Understand architectures deeply enough to identify technical risks, challenge assumptions, and help teams determine the right path forward.
Coordinate customer engineering teams, systems integrators, Oracle delivery services, and OCI engineering around a common execution plan.
Drive technical evaluations, migrations, modernization efforts, and new workload adoption.
Orchestrate Engineering Engagement
Coordinate engineering engagement across multiple OCI services and organizations.
Work directly with OCI Product Engineering to resolve blockers, manage dependencies, and deliver capabilities required by strategic workloads.
Maintain clear ownership and accountability for engineering commitments.
Drive cross-functional decisions and escalate issues when progress or customer outcomes are at risk.
Ensure blockers remain actively managed through resolution rather than simply tracked.
Create Visibility & Accountability
Maintain a clear view of workload milestones, engineering deliverables, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
Establish an effective operating cadence across complex customer engagements.
Communicate what changed, what matters, what is blocked, and what action or decision is required.
Provide concise reporting to technical and executive stakeholders.
Identify patterns across customers that require broader Product Engineering or leadership action.
Support the Customer Lifecycle
Adoption: Drive the technical execution required to move strategic workloads into production.
Growth: Coordinate engineering engagement around technical health, blockers, new capabilities, and expansion opportunities.
Pursuits: Lead and program-manage technical evaluations and engineering engagements required to win new workloads.

Technical and product blockers are identified early and driven to resolution.
Customers, partners, delivery teams, and OCI engineering remain aligned on priorities and responsibilities.
Customer-facing teams have a clear view of technical progress, risk, and required decisions.
Product Engineering receives clear, prioritized requirements tied to customer and workload impact.
Technical engagements result in production adoption, improved customer outcomes, or new workload wins.
Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
Cloud architecture, infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
OCI or another major public cloud platform.
Driving complex technical programs spanning customers, engineering, partners, and delivery organizations.
Enterprise migration, modernization, cloud-native, AI, or data workloads.
Working with Product Engineering on product gaps, roadmap dependencies, escalations, and new capabilities.
Managing technical milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional deliverables.
Communicating complex technical programs clearly to both engineering and executive audiences.
The strongest candidates combine technical depth with exceptional execution discipline. They can engage engineers on architecture and technical tradeoffs, create structure around ambiguous problems, hold stakeholders accountable, and drive complex cross-organizational efforts through to measurable customer outcomes.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $118,700 - $194,400 per year. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
