At compoundexpress, we're building the operating system for India's mutual fund distributors the CRM, client experience, and integration fabric behind every advisor-client interaction on the platform. This is a builder's seat: end-to-end ownership of the products that turn fragmented, manual workflows into a modern, self-serve fintech experience.
We're looking for someone who thinks like a challenger, not a custodian who walks in from outside financial-services convention and asks "why does this still work this way?" You'll own a dense, high-leverage roadmap spanning CRM, insurance, AI-led reporting, and platform infrastructure, and ship it through disciplined, phased releases that never break trust with distributors managing real client money.
Responsibilities
Own the CRM product roadmap - client data architecture, communication workflows, data quality and anomaly resolution, task/workflow automation, and reporting
Lead client-facing self-service capabilities, enabling clients to manage their own profiles, transactions, and reports with minimal manual intervention
Drive third-party and partner integrations - insurance, AI-led analytics and reporting, payments, and other ecosystem partnerships that extend the platform's capabilities
Own platform infrastructure decisions - identity and access management, subscription and billing workflows, and white-labelling for partner-branded instances
Support strategic, cross-functional initiatives as directed by leadership
Run release governance - phased rollouts, automation-first testing, predictable release cadence, and minimal production disruption
Assign and track responsibilities clearly across engineering, QA, DevOps, and leadership for every module you own
Report progress and risks to leadership in structured, concise updates
Must-Have Skills
Engineering degree (BE, BTech, etc..) , MBA or equivalent preferred
Mode of Working: Regular in-office collaboration with engineering, QA, and leadership; Not a remote role
Experience of 5–7 years in product management, majority of it within fintech (not traditional BFSI/insurance companies)
Direct, hands-on product ownership of CRM and/or Insurance modules — has shipped features in this space, not just adjacent to it
Functional & Tech Skills: Strong data-modeling instincts: comfortable designing for edge cases (KYC/PAN anomalies, minor accounts, family/entity relationships) without defaulting to manual workarounds
Functional & Tech Skills: Experience owning integrations with external partners/APIs (payment gateways, SSO, data-sharing pipelines) — has coordinated a multi-party integration roadmap, not just consumed a single API
Functional & Tech Skills: Track record of running phased, automation-first release cycles with minimal production disruption
Functional & Tech Skills: Clear, structured written communication — able to translate messy operational requirements into a spec/PRD an engineering team can execute
Soft Skills: Comfortable owning a wide, ambiguous, multi-module charter and sequencing it independently
Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management — can hold their own with engineering, QA, DevOps, and leadership at the same time
Soft Skills: Demonstrated "outside-in" thinking: can point to a specific instance of redesigning a workflow around the end-user rather than around internal process or legacy constraints
Soft Skills: Resilient under a dense, fast-moving roadmap without losing attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Exposure to wealth-tech or investment platforms (MF, PMS, AIF, stock broking)
Familiarity with AppSmith, Keycloak, or CRM platforms used for workflow/task orchestration
Experience with WhatsApp Business API or transactional-messaging platforms
Prior work on white-labelled/multi-tenant product architecture
Exposure to lending products (LAP/LAMF) or P2P lending platforms
Startup or scale-up experience where the PM function also covered light program/delivery management
This Role Is Not a Fit If You
If you have spent your career primarily in traditional AMC/insurance/banking product teams, with no fintech (startup/scale-up) exposure
If you are used to long, waterfall-style release cycles or heavy sign-off processes, and are not comfortable with automation-first, phased releases
If you operate as a "requirements gatherer" — translating stakeholder asks 1:1 without questioning the underlying workflow
If you have no direct CRM or Insurance product ownership on your track record — pure lending or pure payments experience alone, with no CRM/insurance exposure, is not a fit for this seat

Give an example of a process or product decision you changed because the existing approach only made sense internally, not to the end customer.
How do you approach release governance? Describe your experience with automation-first testing and phased rollouts, and a time a phased approach prevented a bad release from hitting all users.
This role spans 10+ concurrent workstreams (CRM, insurance integrations, client self-service, AI/data partnerships, platform identity, and more). How would you prioritize and sequence a backlog this wide in your first 30 days?
