Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support IT and digital transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams. This role will lead project planning and execution, coordinate cross-functional technology and business teams, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting to project sponsors and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong IT project management experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to drive accountability in complex, fast-moving environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate IT, technology, and digital transformation projects from initiation through completion.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure alignment across business, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Manage RAID logs, action items, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
Track project progress, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
Drive accountability across project teams and ensure owners meet commitments and deadlines.
Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, status meetings, and working sessions.
Prepare concise project status reports, executive presentations, dashboards, and portfolio-level reporting.
Identify project risks and dependencies early and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Coordinate cross-functional decision-making and escalate issues requiring leadership attention.
Support project intake, prioritization, resource planning, and portfolio management activities.
Partner with technical teams to track implementation activities, milestones, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
Coordinate third-party vendors and implementation partners as required.
Ensure project documentation, decisions, action items, and governance artifacts are accurate and up to date.
Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, reporting, and project governance standards.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT project management, technical project management, PMO, or a related role.
Proven experience managing complex technology or digital transformation initiatives involving multiple workstreams.
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, dependency management, and change control.
Experience working across business and technology organizations to drive project execution and accountability.
Strong experience with executive-level status reporting and stakeholder communications.
Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and project management/reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data, or other large-scale technology initiatives.
Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation programs or PMO organizations.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience managing technology vendors, implementation partners, budgets, or contracts.
Experience working with global or geographically distributed teams.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
