Role Details: Cryptography Security Engineer - EL1 Level
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2X12 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Canberra (Onsite)
Eligibility: TSPV Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
• Degree qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Industry-recognised cyber security certification.
• Cryptographic security or encryption-related training.
• Cloud security certification (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Vendor certification for KMS, HSM or encryption technologies.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification.
Role Details: Lead Cryptography Security Engineer - EL1 Level

Role Details: Lead Security Analyst - EL1 Level
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2X12 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Canberra/Adelaide (Onsite)
Eligibility: TSPV Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
SOC + Splunk Enterprise Security + EDR + NDR + SOAR
Current/recent SOC experience: They must have actually worked as a Security Analyst in a Security Operations Centre (SOC). General cyber security, governance, risk, architecture or penetration-testing experience alone isn't enough.
Splunk Enterprise Security: This is explicitly essential. Look for hands-on Splunk ES experience—SIEM monitoring, searches/queries, dashboards, correlation rules/use cases, alerts and security-event investigation. Plain Splunk experience is weaker if the CV doesn't establish Enterprise Security.
EDR: Hands-on Endpoint Detection & Response experience. Products could include Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Carbon Black, etc.
NDR: They specifically require Network Detection & Response experience. This appears twice in the essential criteria, which suggests it is particularly important. Look for platforms such as Darktrace, Vectra, ExtraHop, Corelight or equivalent and evidence of analysing network-based threats.
SOAR: Practical experience with a Security Orchestration, Automation and Response platform—ideally creating/using playbooks, automating response activities and integrating SOC tools.
Threat intelligence/threat-driven analysis: They want someone capable of taking threat intelligence and determining system-specific threats, rather than simply responding to SIEM alerts.
Incident response: Developing and using incident response plans and playbooks, investigating incidents and supporting containment/response.
Vulnerability and security-control analysis: Assessing vulnerabilities, reviewing security controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending remediation.
Security monitoring engineering: Developing procedures for monitoring and analysing security events—not merely watching an alert queue.
Test & evaluation: Supporting security testing and evaluation of systems/products before delivery.
Australian Government cyber security: ISM and Essential Eight knowledge is desirable and would strengthen the candidate considerably for ASD.
Role Details: Gateway Lead ( Lead Operations Coordinator) - EL1 Level
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2X12 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Canberra/Adelaide (Onsite)
Eligibility: TSPV Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience delivering or managing gateway, network, integration or secure service capabilities in a large and complex ICT Government capability environment.
Proven strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across senior executives and technical team.
Demonstrated experience in navigating complex technical and operational environment to produce and maintain solutions.
Demonstrated experience in problem solving and issue resolution
Proven experience in managing service management or continuous improvement activities to the agreed service levels.
Role Details: Gateway Engineer Infrastructure Engineer- APS6 Level
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2X12 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Canberra/Adelaide (Onsite)
Eligibility: TSPV Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience in the design and deployment of network infrastructure including Cisco Data centre technologies like Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Cisco Routers, Nexus switches, routing protocols like Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
Demonstrated experience with and/or detailed understanding of Palo Alto firewalls and IPS Solutions.
Technical proficiency in the design of services utilising F5/Blue Coat/ Citrix NetScaler/ Broadcom SWG Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems.
Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of virtual private network (VPN) technologies, email and DNS (Infoblox) Solutions.
Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of hybrid and public cloud services.
Role Details: Project Offier- APS5 Level
Contract Duration: 12 months + 2X12 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Canberra (Onsite)
Eligibility: TSPV Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparations for project test, evaluation and acceptance programs.
Apply project management methodologies to administrative and technical activities.
Research, draft and prepare briefs, correspondence and reports including submissions for committee considerations.
Maintain project financial records under the limited supervision of the Project Manager.
Provides support on the use of existing methods and tools. Configures methods and tools within a known context. Creates and updates the documentation of methods and tools.
