Role Description The Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Delhi Area, responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use within the hospital. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and verifying medication orders, dispensing medications accurately, and providing medication counseling to patients and guidance to clinical staff. The Pharmacist will monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing, while maintaining detailed documentation and complying with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The role also involves participating in clinical rounds, supporting antimicrobial stewardship and other clinical programs, managing inventory and storage conditions, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives in the pharmacy. The Pharmacist is expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support training and education for pharmacy and clinical staff as needed.
Qualifications
Professional pharmacy qualification (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or Pharm.D) from an accredited institution; valid registration with the appropriate pharmacy council.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions, and hospital medication systems; experience with inpatient and outpatient dispensing preferred.
Proficiency in using hospital information systems, electronic medical records, and pharmacy management software; ability to maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards; familiarity with clinical protocols and guidelines.
Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hospital operations.
Prior hospital pharmacy or clinical pharmacy experience in the Greater Delhi Area or similar settings is an advantage.
