About the role
The school seeks expressions of interest from experienced Academics or Clinicians who have a passion for teaching. We are looking for clinical facilitators for an ongoing basis.
A Clinical Facilitator acts as a university representative to provide support and mentorship to students whilst out on clinical placements. The role involves periodic casual work supervising students across various facilities in Sydney.
The program of Occupational Therapy (Sydney campus) within the National School of Health Sciences is calling out specifically for experienced Paediatric/ School based Occupational therapists, who will be available 1/day a week for 10-week blocks across the school terms.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise/support/mentor students whilst on placement.
Identify students at risk, liaise with the clinical education team and the site supervisor to ensure appropriate supports and strategies are put into place.
Providing both verbal and written feedback to the students about their performance.
Completion of relevant professional development/supervision training through the university.
Other duties as identified by the Director of Clinical Education.
Qualifications, skills & experience
AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist.
Significant relevant clinical experience.
Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes.
