About the office
The Chaplaincy team supports the spiritual and intellectual life of the campus by creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where students and staff can explore faith, engage with Catholic social teaching and contribute to service and social justice initiatives.
About the role
The Senior Chaplaincy Officer leads and inspires campus Chaplaincy, bringing the Catholic intellectual tradition to life through faith, service and community. This role helps strengthen Notre Dame’s mission and nurture a vibrant spiritual life across campus.
Key Responsibilities
Be present on campus and provide pastoral care and support to students and staff.
Support major University events, including Orientation, Graduation Masses and Open Days.
Help run the Chaplaincy Office, including administration, budgets, events and records.
Create faith and spiritual programs that support students and staff.
Plan spiritual activities such as retreats, prayer, scripture readings and Mass.
Welcome people of all faith backgrounds and help create an inclusive community.
Build strong partnerships with local parishes, dioceses and Catholic organisations.
Qualifications, skills & experience
A relevant qualification and experience in Chaplaincy, Religious Education, mission, campus ministry or a related area.
