Senior Engineer - Quality

Ensure effective control of CTQs, dimensional characteristics and welding-related special characteristics.
Evaluate and audit welding processes, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and welding consumable controls.
Ensure effective control of welding parameters, preheating, interpass temperature, distortion and weld quality.
Review and audit NDT processes such as VT, MT, PT and UT, as applicable.
Ensure proper control of dimensional inspection, alignment, flatness, distortion and critical interfaces.
Verify fabrication jigs, fixtures, measuring equipment and calibration.
Ensure effective surface preparation, blasting, painting/coating and corrosion-protection controls.
Verify coating requirements including surface cleanliness, profile, DFT, environmental conditions and paint system compliance.
Conduct VDA 6.3, process, product and special-process audits at suppliers.
Lead supplier 8D / CAPA and root-cause analysis for fabrication and sheet metal quality issues.
Drive permanent corrective actions for welding defects, dimensional deviations, distortion, cracks, porosity, undercut, lack of fusion and coating defects.
